Ocinara albicollis

Recorded Width: 31mm Height: 12mm at Bukit Larut, Malaysia

This is another member of the Bombycidae family of moths with their typical T-shape pose and upturned abdomen.

The pose creates an interesting silhouette and reminds me of a STOL aircraft (short take off and landing).

Creature Feature

It's been a wonderful Christmas 2013 with family all around; even better now with the sighting of this pair of adult Siamangs at the Botanical garden of the Japanese Village, Bukit Tinggi.
