Large Niltava

The male and female are quite different from each other with each their own striking features. Although the female lacks the deep purple plumage, it has nice pale blue shoulder patches that contrast beautifully against its buffy plumage.

The large niltava is common in Fraser's Hill and these pair was photograph at the High Pines bungalow.I would see them everyday on the telephone wire.

WILD NOTEs

Spider Monkey in Costa Rica

Latest capture by Chin Hock in Costa Rican rainforest. I wonder why this monkey needs a prehensile tail when it can swing without one.

Saltwater Crocs of Singapore

Two 2m plus crocs came out to play today (22Feb'14). Easy to spot them from the main bridge of Sungei Buloh.
