Brown-throated Sunbird

This sunbird is also known as the Plain-throated Sunbird. We shot this video just after a downpour and in the comfort of the Sepilok Jungle Resort's restaurant. 

Shooting sunbirds is always a challenge and this one was no exception; it never stays still for even a few milliseconds.

The Brown-throated is the second most common sunbird (after the olive-backed) of Borneo's gardens and is one of 10 sunbird species found on the island. 11 sunbird species occur on Peninsular Malaysia and there are 119 species found worldwide.
