Ambulyx canescens

Recorded Width: 77mm,  Height: 41mm  -  Kinabalu, Borneo and Maxwell's Hill, Taiping

Batik designs seem to adorn this beautiful Spinghidae or commonly knowns as hawkmoths or sphinx moths. This first image was taken at the Nest in Maxwell's hill on a cold wet morning. The rain that started in the early morning had brought many moths including this pretty one to find a dry refuge and some warmth from the fluorescent lamp outside.
